Ahhhh!!! That totally made my day!! I need to change my countdown because I’ve been telling everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) that the decision is on the 15th!

Eunoia, I know this has been repeated already, but THANK YOU FOR LETTING US KNOW! This seriously made me… 10,000 times happier!!!

AH guys TEN more days!!! I wish us all the best!

AH 9 more days…!!!

good luck everyone! <3 (and me…)

I sent my quarter grades on monday (29th) and emailed admissions to tell them it would be late. do you think it will be okay?

Did Admissions email you to tell you to send the grades? if so, it should be okay…
But they did say that the latest they want the materials was by 11/22, so I’m not too sure~
What I can suggest is that you should CALL admissions because they don’t really read or answer emails promptly (I usually get an answer 3-4 days after I send an email). Call them and let them know, and if you have any specific reason why you sent the grades so late, let them know that, too. Good luck, I hope everything works out~!

Do some of you still get emails from Wellesley telling you to check your portal? Cause I just received one today and I am wondering why they would do that… I know all my application materials are in so I was thinking it was to let me know of the decision-reveal date?

Also, Questbridge applicants got their decisions today! I wonder if anyone got it for Wellesley. Anyway ladies, NINE days and we’ll know!! :)

yup I got the email, too. I guess they were just making sure people are checking them…especially when the exact decision release date is out~
I really do hope they got all my materials though haha

HEY!
omg, any of you send your nov. scores in?
College board says that they sent mine in on the 21st but my Wellesley portal does not indicate that they have received it.
)):

Hmmm… That’s weird. I’m guessing you put Wellesley as one of the schools to receive the test score when you registered for the test, right?

Call them and make sure they have them. I had to call the admissions office cause my whole SAT scores sending got messed up, and they send sometimes the website does not update its database the moment they get your scores (processing takes a few days). But first thing tomorrow you should give them a call and get this sorted out.

I hope everything works out!

@Ligers
yup, will call them first thing in the morning. Thanks!

9 more days!

Hey Guys! I also applied ED and I’m so nervous. 9 MORE DAYS! I want to go so badly for all the reasons you guys have said. Its an amazing school! Perfect location, amazing academics, beautiful campus and so much more!

I have a question for you all. When you tell people your applying to Wellesley, do they tend to say, “Oh, and all girls school?” I feel like a lot of people who I’ve been telling say this and I must admit, it bothers me. Although, yes, it is an all womens college, it is so much more than that! And the fact that they judge it based of the fact its all womens, annoys me. What are your experiences with this?

Oh yeah, so many people ask me “Wait… a women college? Really?” or along the lines of “What about boys!!!”

I definitely know how you feel… Now I just smile and say “yeah!” If you’re proud when you say it, they’ll be the ones who feel foolish for even asking it in the first place. That’s all people will see, but be the one who shows them there’s more to Wellesley than just being a womens college!

As a parent, I find that other adults either say “OH” with a kind of reverence, or else they simply don’t react, which makes me think they don’t recognize the name. (We live in California, so perhaps it’s a bit less well known in some circles.) No one has made fun of my daughter for choosing a women’s college, though.

One thing you could say if they question your choice is something along the lines of: “With so many more bright, hardworking women than men going to college nowadays, we need more places like Wellesley.”

Relationship-wise, it’s not like my daughter won’t ever have a boyfriend, for goodness sake. This is simply not the best time. She doesn’t need distractions, and if she were to have a stormy relationship or a painful breakup, it could have a negative effect on her school performance which would, in turn, affect medical school admissions. She needs to be practical and keep her own best interests front and center.

oh my God…I hate it when people do that…
they always ask: “Why would you want to go to an all-girls school?”, or “Wouldn’t it be full of lesbians?”
sigh…ignorance. I WANT to go to Wellesley because it’s one of the best in the nation, and I fully support the LBGT population.
Especially since I live in Florida, people don’t really recognize “Wellesley College”, and don’t understand how AWESOME it is.
