So… what do we do now? Is there anything we’re supposed to join to see admitted students or is there an orientation thing or roommate finding or? Or do we just kind of wait.

Congratulations! My D21 was accepted to Wellesley 2 years ago and loves it.

You won’t hear very much from Wellesley - they have a strong, independent-minded culture so they don’t communicate as much (or as gushy) as other schools and please don’t let your parents contact them, haha. I think they expect their admitted students - who are generally strong leaders - to start creating community on their own. Students seem to find each other on Instagram and then peel off into whatever the latest tech is - 2 years ago it was Discord. My daughter’s year they created their own way of sharing backgrounds and finding roommates - if you don’t want to do that, the school will provide a form to fill out next summer.

Do not expect to hear many logistics until after the rest of the class is filled out on May 1.

Enjoy being done early, your senior year will be less stressful! But you will likely get antsy by next summer, which is normal.

It is a wonderful place, congratulations!!!

I was accepted with a 4.20 UW/ 5.16 W GPA, 33 ACT. I am also an AP Scholar with Honor and a Commended Student for the National Merit Scholarship.

Although recruiting works differently than D1 schools, I did talk to the rowing coach and had a lot of demonstrated interest.

Thank u for sharing your stats. Congrats on your acceptance.

@Msaracino would you talk a bit about your recruiting process at Wellesley for rowing? I have '24 kid with stats generally in your range who would likely also be a recruited athlete. I’m curious how that process works at Wellesley, how much influence/pull you felt the coach had, how the Wellesley recruiting process compares, say, to a NESCAC school (if you have context, you may not). Feel free to PM me if you’d rather not say all this publicly. I’d really appreciate any insights you have to share. Thanks very much!
