Wellesley ED2 Class of 2023

Oh my goodness @aryamilka I LOVE that video! I’m pretty sure I did actually cry when I watched it the first time! Also @bookboozer I do the same thing all the time, I frequently talk as if I’m in and have to correct myself because decisions haven’t come out yet! I’m just so excited and into the school because it fits me perfectly but I don’t wanna come off presumptuous about the results.

@KattianaKitty Literally same. I’m just REALLY REALLY hoping that I get in. Which is why this is making me more anxious than ever.

I literally have so much homework to do but all I can think about is Wellesley right now. I better get to finishing it now… :))

A girl in my grade got in ED 1. I’m really excited for her and hope I get to join her next year.

@bookboozer hahahah well OBVIOUSLY you’re all over Wellesley now! GOOD LUCK GURL

And I’m an international student as well! I’m Chinese, how bout you? :wink:

Well and to answer the question @ everyone, I applied basically because I had always wanted to combine engineering with arts. While I was just randomly looking through college websites, I found Wellesley. But I was not originally that sure that I want to apply here (especially with ED2) since I had always grown up in big cities, like REAL BIG and crowded and like @Anatstasia523 I mostly had guy friends, I was not sure that Wellesley was for me. But I was so thrilled about media arts and sciences and the Wellesley community empowering girls.

However I used “had always” because I started wondering if undergrad is too early of a time to start working on such interdisciplinary area like mas cuz for me personally, the mindsets when working in arts and engineering are sometimes drastically different and I felt that I haven’t dived deep enough in any of them yet to start involving another one.

Still, the results are gonna come out soon so wish everyone the best and whatever comes will always turn out to be the best decision later on!!! clappping :smiley:

@aryamilka That’s so cool! I don’t think anyone from my school has ever applied to Wellesley.

@vikiii THANK YOU! I’m Tanzanian! :slight_smile:
That’s good to know! I hope you get in so you can combine them both and find the right mix for yourself. :smiley:
YESSSSS, but can it be soon enough :expressionless:

@vikiii hey, I also grow up in a big city, and I think the good thing about Wellesley is that it’s only less than an hour away from Boston downtown. From my experience there, the bus system there is quite convenient to get students around in the city. On the credit side, Wellesley itself is quiet enough to study without too much distractation…haha. Actually another reason why I applied to Wellesley is my love for Boston…Compared to other big cities, like New York, Tokyo, and Berlin, I feel like Boston is just lively and urban to the perfect point, without being too crowded or “hippie”.

@bookboozer in my school’s history, there’s not even a student going to a women’s college…?Let’s hope we can be the first ones in our school, so they’ll know how amazing Wellesley is! (Hahaha, I sound like i already got in…)

May I ask what type of school you guys are in if you don’t mind? I’m from an AP system international school with students from over 30 countries…We have a graduating class of 18 students! I’m a bit worried that my school’s size will affect my chance in a negative way

Same! A friend of mine got into Barnard with the ED I program and she was the first! I’m hoping I get int too and I can show others in my school that women’s colleges are actually really awesome!

I’m from a Cambridge International school and we have around 38 countries represented!! And we have a graduating class of 43 students :slight_smile: I’m a little worried about that too because I shifted schools and my previous one was a large one (but it wasn’t a really good one)

@bookboozer dude saaame. I actually caved and commented on wellesleyadmission’s instagram account asking about the decision release date, but no reply so far (laugh cry face)… and YESSSS Lake Waban is GORGEOUS!!!

and don’t worry dude I’m EXACTLY the same way, i keep talking about wellesley like it’s a done deal bc the wish to go is just SO STRONG!!!

@aryamilka OMG that’s awesome!! I wish I was talented enough to write satire HAAHHA but i’m only dry in real life. on paper it comes off too earnest. LOLL

and This Is The Place is such a nice videooooooo!!! The Wellesley playlist in general is just fab tbh.

@vikiii BROOOO I’m Chinese too! High-five!!! Well half-Chinese hahaha.

@Anastasia523 i totally agree about Boston, it’s one of my favorite cities. Although I’m kind of biased because my dreaaaaaaam husband (Chris Evans, the guy who plays Captain America) is from Boston so I have a soft spot for it :slight_smile:

Any Marvel or Disney fans here, btw?

@hrsvery718 I DMed them too :))

Triple yay for both Marvel & Disney!! You have to agree though Chris Hemsworth is :x

still no updates on portal i’m going insane!!!

Honestly me too, I’m getting worried it won’t be until next week :frowning: According to some friends, Emory updated them yesterday that they would get their decisions the 6th…so maybe Wellesley is waiting for a day or two before?? That’s what I’m hoping for!

@KattianaKitty I hope for that too but I’m beginning to think it might not be until next week which means more agony :frowning:

Ahhh! No!! It’s the 7th!!
I just checked guys! It’s gonna be on Thursday!!!

On the evening of the 7th!!

YASSSS I just checked on an impulse and just sawwww
I’m so excited and nervous and AAAGHHH

It’ll be like 2 am on the 8th for me :expressionless: :-SS

OMG YAAAY I WAS RIGHT SO HAPPY!!!

my stomach has consistently been in knots for weeks now i’m so ready
