Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected:

General Comments: Good Luck!!

@owleyes I feel your pain. Very impressive stats there makes me wonder.

BTW what does it mean by “waived” on some of your categories? Thanks.

Good luck to all the possibles and congrats to the likelys. For the unlikelys, perservere in your quests these things happen for a reason.

Thank you Bossf51! I’m definitely a bit sad right now. Hopefully it’ll get better. Waived was a check I made on the common application teacher recommendation form promising that I wouldn’t read what my teachers had wrote. Thus, I can’t read anything they said and can’t judge it on the CC form.

Oh I see.

Hang in there something good is coming for you! I’m sure of it.

I just realized my grammar usage in my previous post was hideous. I apologize!

I also mentioned my dual interests in liberal arts/a balanced education and science research, and how Wellesley’s dual degree program with MIT and their partnership with Olin College, give me the best of both.

[/ul]Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: ACT, essays, recs, interview
[] Weaknesses: ECs, lack of leadership
[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I’m a strong applicant and Wellesley is a genuinely good fit for me. I think the admissions team saw that
[] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted to Bard, Lewis&Clark, and Oregon State. Still waiting on Brown, Swat, Vassar, Barnard, Smith, and Whitman!

[/ul]General Comments: So frikkin excited. I don’t really have a “top” choice cuz it all depends on FA but I love love love Wellesley!!!  :D

[] Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Too many. President of 3 Clubs, Founder of 2, 3 other major leadership positions, lots of tutoring especially! It really is too long of a list to delineate fully

[/ul]Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Essays, SATs, other test scores, course load (taking the most APs at a 2000-student school!), leadership (a lot!), just generally staying busy
[] Weaknesses: awful grades! Freshman and sophomore years were unfortunately spent doing reprehensible things, as opposed to focusing on studying. But also I have this weird thing against boring homework. In all honesty, school is just really awfully boring for me (hence the full AP load!), and I have not been a great student for it.
[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I let my intellectuality shine through in my essays, especially since my gpa doesn’t do so great of a job! Let me be a case-in-point that an essay can fix anything lacking or nonexistent in such an application.
[] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted to Rutgers! Have not heard back from anywhere else
