Okay so here's the thing: I applied to Wellesley under EE (Early Evaluation) and did not realize that I had to request for the interview till TODAY. (btw i'm an international applicant).

It says that I was supposed to request for an interview at least by December 15th, but around that time, I was pretty busy (it was during the finals week and i had 7 finals this year lol) and also was kindaa frustrated as I got rejected from my early school hehe.

It says that not having an interview will not do bad on my application, but STILL - I mean, requesting for an interview shows that I have an interest for Wellesley (and I indeed do.), and I'm pretty sure a great majority of EE applicants will be doing interviews.

Do you think I should personally email Wellesley for this? urgh please help!

I don’t think its necessary beyond one sentence “I just realized I missed the deadline to request an interview, however, I’d love to do one if it’s still possible” or something like that. No one cares what the reason is–I mean, EVERY kid applying there is busy and has stress. They will either be able to find someone to do your interview or not, but it doesn’t hurt to ask…

@redpoodles Thanks for your help! I just sent them an email saying that it was my mistake that I missed the deadline but I would really enjoy having an interview through one of the alumni. I hope everything goes well for you, and thanks again!

I was accepted to W (ED), without having an interview. They don’t put much (if any) weight on it. If it didn’t go well it could hurt you chances. So it’s probably better to skip it. Your application tells them all they need to know about you.
I agree, interviews are a chance for you to learn about W and perhaps to show that you are interested in the college, they do not make any difference in the admission chances.
