Wellesley Interview

Hi everyone,

'm applying RD w/ EE, and I have my alumna interview on 12/05 (my birthday! haha). I was wondering if the Wellesley interview is more informational or evaluative? Do interviewers write a report? Do they have much say in the admissions process? This will be my first interview, so I’m not sure what to expect.

Anyone who has an interview coming up or has already had theirs done please feel free to add to this thread! Good luck to all in the application process!

Hi, I just finished my Wellesley interview and it was more evaluative- they ask you about your passion and what drives you and what is it that you want to do in college, just remember to be calm and to be very into this process, it’s a nice little chat, so make sure to laugh here and there to show how much of a real human you are

@zar123 thanks! good luck on admission! maybe if im lucky we’ll see each other next fall hahaha! are you applying rd or ed?

yes I agree, I did mine recently and it was clear that it was evaluator but my interviewer was also a super sweet young person so It was much more informal that I thought it would be. I’m an athlete though, so things are a little different

thanks everyone for the replies. I live in SoCal and because of the fires, the interview got cancelled and moved to tonight. it went really well! my interviewer was a young, friendly person and it was informal and more of a good talk. she said she was impressed with my work and said id be a good fit for Wellesley. Good luck to anyone who has a Wellesley interview coming up!
