Wellesley only LAC in top 8 that has increased Apps

<p>As reported at Bloomberg: Only Wellesley College, in Wellesley, Massachusetts, among the top eight liberal arts schools ranked by U.S. News, is reporting an increase in apps. Applications rose 2 percent, to about 4,200 this year. </p>

<p>Apps at Williams, Amherst, Swarthmore Middlebury and Bowdoin are down from last year.</p>

<p>Wellesley, although cutting down with costs, is one of the few schools that is working to make sure financial aid is not sorely affected. Perhaps this is a reason?</p>
