Wellesley or Williams and why?

Hi! I’m a high school senior debating between Wellesley and Williams. I have similar aid from both insitutions and in my opinion the schools are quite similar.
I was wondering if any alum from either, any current students, or any parents of students can speak to the experiences at both schools perhaps even why it is better at one school vs the other. I am planning on majoring in Economics and Public Health which at Wellesley is known as Health and Society. I am not sure which is the right school for me considering I live in busy NYC, however, I do not feel as though location is something that plays a big factor in my decision.

Oh, c’mon. You honestly can’t think of any diffefence between them?

Both are excellent schools.
My daughter just chose Wellesley over similar schools and some other larger schools.
For her, it came down to fit. What she did was to join the Facebook and IG Class of '24 pages, group chats, etc. as well as watch some YouTube virtual tours, vlogs, etc. to get a feel for what it might be like at each school and what the students are like.
Best of luck to you! Either way, you will make a great choice.

In terms of choices for a general economics major, you have done superbly well: https://ideas.repec.org/top/top.uslacecon.html. By this criterion, you should feel free to go to whichever of these excellent colleges appeals to you. Regarding specific programs, however, are you certain of their availability? Wellesley, for example, appears to have suspended its Health and Society minor: https://thewellesleynews.com/2019/12/04/college-suspends-health-and-society-minor-indefinitely-citing-lack-of-course-availability/.

Can only speak to Williams (my son from NYC metro area is a student there) and the economics department is very well regarded. Williamstown is a great escape from NYC if you like to hike and there are a surprisingly high number of activities/events on campus for a school of its size to keep you busy.

@jjaguar125 where did decide to go?
