An email probably won’t come until later.
People who received possible- there is still a good chance, don’t fret!
I got a likely! So excited! Wellesley is at the top of my list (even though my parents are more drawn to the prestige factor of the ivy sort) and it would be an honor to attend. To those who got an answer you were not happy with, I’ve been there. Don’t worry! You are still amazing.
Congrats!!
Likely! Hoping to play lacrosse
Once you get a possible what more should be done to increase your chances of acceptance? Should I send in a letter of intent like is recommended for deferrals? Or is it too close to the decision date for that?
Likely!!! So excited!
Likely AHHHHHH!
Geez - my daughter has a 1550 SAT, 42/42 IB, ECs, etc…and got a “possible.” Really disappointed for her.
@gek0014 I suggest sending in a LOCI! Wellesley cares about demonstrated interest so it can only help your case
@CValle Well a “possible” is a far-cry from a no and she will be reconsidered during Regular Decision. With stats like hers, she’s still a very competitive candidate. Good luck!
I cannot find my Wellesley ID anywhere!! I have gone to the website to retrieve the ID, but when I received the email with my ID, it says “You will need the following Username (aka, Banner ID or “B” number) to access your record:” and then it is blank! No ID in sight!! Is anyone having this same problem and/or have a solution??
@lilypad336 Your Wellesley ID should have come with the email that you got after you submitted the application. It was the email that contained the status portal link and then there was a section that listed you Banner ID and your password.
Yes, but for whatever reason (me being an idiot I suppose), I no longer have that email. But there is a link in the most recent email to retrieve your ID through your email, and when I did that, it sent me a blank email without my ID, even though it said the ID should be in that email.
That’s weird. I would just contact Wellesley directly then. @lilypad336
@CValle - your DD will be admitted. (I know young ladies with lower stats who got “possible” and then were admitted. Might be a good idea to express some interest with a note or an update re additional achievements or experiences. (I suspect Wellesley may be protecting its yield if they think your DD is using W as a back-up).
@glido - she will be doing that ASAP - sad because Wellesley is really one of her top choices - would have been nice to feel the love!
Who would we direct an update letter to? Would we email it to our regional counselor?
Wellesley didn’t get my midyear transcript on time so will I still be evaluated or?
I applied RD without early evaluation. Will this reduce my chances of being accepted?
