I'm an incoming senior and i was wondering if Wellesley perferred the SAT over the ACT, or the other way around? Because i didn't do as well as i hoped on the SAT and i'm confident that i will do much better on the ACT.

Also, if i take the ACT, should i send in two SAT II scores to go with it?

Wellesley does not have a preference. If you take the SAT I, you must also submit SAT II scores. If you take the ACT, you should take the ACT with Writing – no SAT IIs are needed.

If you take the SAT I and the ACT, submit the score that makes your application look the best.

Ok, thank you!! :)

I will repeat that Wellesley has no preference. My advice is to submit the test scores that represent you best and will help your application. I did really well on the ACT and SAT II, but not the SAT. So I sent all my test scores. (I applied back in the day when you couldn’t choose which SAT test scores to send) You do not have to send your SAT II scores with your SAT, but if they are good, then they will help you and add to the amount of information in your application and adds to what the admissions committee is able to learn about you.
