My credentials were due no later than march 20. My notification comes on mon April 9th. Sorry, I haven’t been on here in a few weeks.

Thank you, eleeeeen! Sending a virtual hug your way. I didn’t have enough courage to call!
It’s funny that the lady you spoke to didn’t know… but I’m very pleased to know that it’s sooner rather than later.
thenaturalista, GOOD LUCK! I’ll send you positive vibes.
As for the rest of us… Time will tell!

Question: how ,any of you are applying to other colleges besides Wellesley? I’m also applying to Brown and think I have a good/solid chance at either (don’t we all) but with so many qualified students who are so diverse and intelligent, and so few spaces… It is honestly something of a crapshoot after all is said and done. I hate that! Anyone else?

I apologize for any glaring typos in here. I’m typing on my smartphone and that’s not easy when I’m this exhausted! I’m not normally so sloppy regarding what I write. :P

Thanks Shootinggirl1! Good luck to you!
Yes, I also applied to other schools.
I’m confident with my GPA, essays, recommendations, work experience, etc…
But I’m an international student so I really don’t know the probability of getting in for me.

Anyway, Good luck to everyone!

Good luck, everyone! I’m trying to stay off of this site bc it eats up a lot of my time & also makes me have unnecessary anxiety about it all. And I applied to quite a few schools, so I have to go through this all the time! Lol

Early May is better than late May! I didn’t apply anywhere else, actually…

We find out May 14th at 5pm! It says so on MyWellesley

And now we play the waiting game… Good luck, ladies!

Of course it’s mid-May. Smith and Mt. Holyoke (go MHC!), Wellesley’s fellow sisters had mercy on their transfer applicants and they already know. But Wellesley? Nope.

Just kidding, of course. I’m sure they have their reasons; it’s just frustrating! I’m sure all you ladies can relate. This means I have one decision on 5/14 and another the following day. That’ll be a relaxing week. :P

Good luck all!

Mid-May :((
I’ve been waiting since Jan.
Hope the waiting worths.

Good luck to you all!!!

hey guys I’ve applied to Wellesley as a transfer student and I’m absolutely OBSESSED with the academics…I’m just a little worried about the social scene. I’m coming from a very big, party-oriented SEC school (and I hate how people party ALL THE TIME) but I don’t want something that is the complete opposite. When I was on my tour, my guide mentioned that not many organizations have dances/boys on campus. Is this because there is a huge lesbian scene? I am by no ways intolerant, yet I am very straight. Also is there more of a lesbian scene at Wellesley than there is at Barnard?

as far as I know, Wellesley has relatively lower population of non-heterosexual student body than other seven sisters. When I was waiting for my interview in Admission Office, the student workers there were joking that Wellesley girls can SENSE if there is a man in the room.

Barnard is located almost within Columbia University and students can take classes in Columbia. I know someone who even joined a Sorority in Columbia. Therefore, I guess if you are really concerned about lesbian scene, Barnard might be a better choice. However, people there may be exposed to parties more.

Hope it helps.

Thank you! That’s extremely helpful! I’m very liberal, so again I really don’t think any lesbian scene would really bother me. It’s just something to consider as far as dating goes as an undergraduate.

transfergal2012, Wellesley does not have a huge lesbian scene. However, there are tons of guys between Babson, Brandeis, BU, BC, MIT, Northeastern, Harvard, Tufts, Bentley, Berklee, BoCon and others in the Boston area. If you’re social and take the commuter rail/T into Boston often, or the busses at Wellesley, you’ll have no problems meeting guys. The public safety is very rigid at Wellesley so there won’t be much there, but… it’s such an amazing school I don’t think that should be a huge concern. I go to Mount Holyoke, but live right near Wellesley and have tons of friends there, and even as someone who just lives in the area I can tell you it’s not hard to meet and find great guys at some of the schools nearby.

Good luck!

anyone got their results yet?

No… I think they’re going to be real sticklers about the May 15th date. They usually are. It’s one of those situations where I don’t think it’s even worth worrying/wondering that it’ll be earlier. Of course, now watch me be wrong. But that’s just my two cents.

Just kidding, actually. It’s the 14th. Just checked the mywellesley thing.

Are you all talking about banner self service or myWellesley? I can log into banner, but every time I try to log into MyWellesley I’m getting an error message. This is even after I had them email me my password.

I’m really anxious, so please help!

Actually, I think mine might be a different case because I attended Wellesley previously. It’s saying “This account has expired for lack of activity. Please contact your system administrator regarding the status of your account. [error: account disabled]”

I’m going to contact them directly about this. In the meantime, could someone with access copy/paste the exact wording about when the decisions will be released?

Thanks so much!

Final admission decision information will become available on Monday, May 14, 2012. You will be able to view your decision online beginning at 5pm Eastern Daylight Time. Decisions will remain posted until June 1, 2012.

I talked to the system administrator and she said that no one should be able to access MyWellesley yet, so I assume you are all talking about Banner Self Service? But there’s nowhere on that website that gives any indication of the notification date. I’m freaking out here, but it doesn’t matter because I PROBABLY WON’T GET IN, ANYWAY.
