Wellesley has a very strong alumni network, so that is definitely a plus for job placement. Tufts has one, but it isn’t as connected. Don’t know much about either for psychology though.
You may want to check on the networks yourself in Hong Kong and Singapore. Attempt to find both
and talk to one person there and ask them that question. I tend to think Tufts is well respected in medical psychology, some of the work on mind body interactions was accomplished at Tufts. You may have access to Tufts, MIT and Harvard research from either school, but check on that too. So where do Wellesley psychology students work in the summers? Do you want to work there? What sort of research are you interested in, and which school has professors with those interests? Open every single bio of every single psychology professor and figure out who you want to do your senior thesis with right now. That may help you pick. Which faculty looks stronger to you? You have to work with them.
- Psychology major, will definitely want to go on to grad school.
IMHO Wellsely would be better than this
- I will want to work in either the US, Hong Kong, or Singapore in the future.
IMHO the name recognition of your post-grad school matter more than you undergrad schools since you have decided to do a Masters
- Grad school placement is very important.
IMHO Wellsely would be better at this
- Name value/recognition - esp. overseas.
Internationally they both have the same recognition
- What do you think are the pros/cons of attending a women’s college?
IMHO I think the while the advantages and disadvantages are all over the net. I know many international students that go to Wellesley and hate their first year. It is a little away from the city and the all-girls environment can be suffocating. Wellesley has grade deflation see be ready to see a C as a grade. Socially Tufts is better than Wellsely if you believe that boys must be a part of any social life
- Job placement
IMHO wellsely is much better at this
PS do let us know where u go finally
- Both are excellent
- About equal

Hope this helps!
Wellesley has full cross registration for classes at MIT. So you could take some beefy cognitive sciences classes at MIT if you enroll at Wellesley. There is a but back and forth to Cambridge many times a day from the Wellesley campus. Its a very good cross registration program, and all the MIT classes will count for your Wellesley degree if
that interests you. Look at Course 9 at MIT, for the class offerings. But you can take anything you want at MIT see the rules here.
In the past many Wellesley students dated MIT students. MIT fraternities are over near Boston U in Boston,
for the most part. There was a big social life between MIT and Wellesley in the past. now MIT has lot more women.

That should say *bus back and forth to MIT from Wellesley
Wellesley has a higher US News rank, but who really cares? Have your DD visit and see which feels like a better fit. Tufts and Wellesley each have strong reputations. Best of luck!
@glido the OP is the student, not the parent, and she said she cannot visit because she is an international applicant.
I can’t speak to most of your points, but regarding
-
Psychology major, will definitely want to go on to grad school.
I don’t know much about Wellesley’s psych department but I think Tufts has some good faculty and I have friends from Tufts who’ve gone on to do cool stuff since studying psych (in particular, a good friend is doing her postdoc at Stanford after getting her PhD at Vanderbilt) -
Grad school placement is very important.
My friends from Tufts who went on to graduate school so far (whether straight from undergrad or after working for a few years) have all done very well. I knew a fair number of other Tufts alums in grad programs at Stanford while I was there and have friends who’ve gone on to grad school at MIT, Harvard, Cal, Michigan, Dartmouth, Duke and other top-tier schools -
Job placement
Tufts has an ok network (that I think the university is working to improve) but I think job placement may have been among my friends’ largest complaints (at least for those who didn’t go on to grad school). Almost everyone I know has found their way onto an interesting career path since leaving Tufts in the last few years, though it took some longer than others
I would probably pick Wellesley!
