Got an email from admissions with the phone call. Turned in letter of interest and activities update early April but added couple of recommendations around 20th. Thank you everyone for your wishes.

They just sent me an email saying they don’t know when and if they are going to their waitlsit.
thats odd @yoouung …why would they say that if they have started making offers ?
It could just be an automated response or something. I received a similar message a while ago after sending in more information
Here is their second email regarding that: “At this point we are waiting to see if any space opens up in our class. If space does become available sometime between now and the end of June we will be sure to give your application careful consideration. Once we decide to close the waitlist for the year, which will be sometime between now and the end of June, we’ll let all remaining candidates know.”
about time to give up hope?
When my D was admitted off the Wellesley waitlist (several years ago - she’s graduated now) she was contacted the first week of June. It’s a slow and tedious process, because they contact an applicant, and then have to give them a few days to decide (we had 3 days). Also, other schools are admitting students off the waitlist, and potentially an accepted student at Wellesley can decide to switch to another school. Which might open another spot.
So while the chance of being offered a spot off the waitlist can be slim, it’s a little early to completely give up hope.
