RICE!!!
Emory
Vandy

I think it looks like I do too much but I was actually very involved in everything that I did.

For Rice, I have an interview will attend a open house in ATL and do an over-nighter

Essays
one will highlight my experience in Africa (which I think is prob the same way anyone would feel after going there, nothing too special accept the experience)

other how I have over come all the trouble and turmoil in my life and not let that stop me

So any chance???

Your SAT scores are what's going to put your acceptance in jeopardy.
Rice: reach
Emory: low reach/high match

bump...anyone?

In. If you managed to overcome rape and abuse...Hell.

anyone else

Retake the SATs if possible.

You have a decent shot (both probably high match/low reach), especially due to your unique story. Best of luck!

chance me back at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/newreply.php?do=postreply&t=581852

so even if I cant get my SAT up THAT much higher, do I still have a good chance, a more likely than not acceptance?

I guess I'll ask again tomorrow

you might want to try the ACT....I got about your same SAT scores, but a MUCH higher ACT score (the first (and only =D) time)....you might want to consider it

I would say little chance to Rice...
But I'll recommend apply to ivy... maybe they will like your EC better

rice - low reach.

you should write about how you overcame your hardships for the rice supplement essay

ok, I was thinking that too
