We're done

Congratulations! While some of the kids I followed did not have good luck in the ED/EA process, almost all of the parent regulars seem to have had great success. Perhaps you guys should write a book!

Congratulaltions! I knew he'd get in. Maybe our sons will meet up at some math competitions some time.

If you had a kid like marite's, you wouldn't need a book!

kirum - lol my kids think I should start a business.

Congrats! Ahh how I love reading about ED/EA acceptances...:)

I think we're finished too (MIT). There are 3 more letters to come, but I doubt if they will change anything. Cookiemom, is your son settled on Princeton? If he ends up in Boston too, we could all visit them, then get together for a "math moms" lunch.

Congratulations to your son and to you, Marite!

Texas, can a computer mom join you for lunch?

Marite
I'm so happy for S and you. I checked this board several times today, hoping to hear this news

Texas
Did I miss that your S accepted MIT? another big congrats!

Adding congrats. Impressed. Wow. (One of those under-achieving adults who is intimidated by these things.)

Marite- That's marvelous news. I was on earlier hoping to see something good from our Harvard EA parents!! Hooray!!!

Are liberal arts moms allowed to come to lunch?

texas - Yes, S is going to Princeton, but I'll take you up on that lunch! At the MIT info session he turned to me and said, "I don't know when, maybe it will be grad school, but I WILL be at MIT some day." He wanted to burn all his college essays, but I told him he could save them and recycle then for grad school!

That is WONDERFUL news for your son and you!! I don't know which part is more exciting--getting into HARVARD or having NO MORE apps. to do!! lol I hope that his tenure at Harvard brings him all that he could hope for!

~berurah

Let's ALL have lunch (Over30 - I double as a computer mom)

Marite, congrats! I've followed your posts and I am not a bit surprised. Enjoy yourself now! Tabby

:D:D:D:D:D

Wow, look what I missed today!! Marite!!! Boy oh Boy!!! SO happy for your son! He truly earned this. It must feel really great. And then to be all done, what a happy ending and then a relief that the process is over (or just beginning, depends how you look at it!). Of course, I am not surprised at the outcome though I know you can never be sure when it is Harvard. But your son is brilliant and this is another step in his journey as someone destined to do great things.

I know what a highly supportive mom you have been all these years raising your son, along with the challenges that raising such a gifted child can bring. You always found ways to accomodate his learning needs, one step or obstacle at a time and now, I hope you yourself find some satisfaction in what it has all led to at this point in his journey. And I'm sure you aren't gonna mind that he will be in the back yard (but at least out of the house). It is a great outcome. I just hope he does not bring home the laundry!

You have helped lots of kids (and parents) on this forum and it is great to hear your own positive story tonight.

So where did ya have dinner?

Many congrats to your whole family.
Susan

This is wonderful news, Marite. allbest

congratulations!!!!!
