As the big date draws near, I just wanted to start a thread for all of you out there who have asked for chances. If you could just list which schools you asked about, followed by the CC prediction, and then the real outcome. It should be interesting to compare.

Template:

College ABC: prediction/outcome

College XYZ: prediction/outcome

and so on for how many ever places you applied to.
many of you have already heard from a number of colleges so post those as well!

UPenn
Prediction: Rejected. Freshman grades called "pathetic" and low A average in junior/senior year "unimpressive". About one of the ten people though I had a good chance of getting in.
Outcome: Accepted.

Everyone at CC is harsh about people's chances at Ivies. They seem to think that unless you are truly, truly incredible at something, you don't have a chance. Which isn't true at all.

Haha, I've answered threads like these two or three times, because I don't mind laughing at how harsh some of the responses to my original post were.

And ya, bongo stuck with me through thick and thin!

yea CC kids are harsh. and tho most of us are incredibly smart were also stupid. especially when it comes to race. i hate arguing with those stupid kids about race.

CC kids were extremely accurate for me:
Cornell ED: Prediction: Around 50% chance
Outcome: Deferred

I got in CMU EDII so I had to defer my apps, which included some reaches, but for the ones I did end up hearing from:
CMU/Case Western/Michigan/Penn State/Illinois: Prediction: Accepted
Outcome: Accepted

definitely an english/history/government person, not big on math and science
in a competetive law magnet program
class rank: 28/370, UW gpa 3.7, weighted gpa ~5.0
many GT, AP classes, including english lit, french, government, and economics senior year

WHO SAID YOU"D be rejected????????????????????

I think people are overestimating how harsh people were or have flawed memories. This person is a lock 100% maybe with money at UT, in at Davidson and UNC!
