i applied a few weeks ago for fall 2011 undergraduate admissions.
I got an email from UW saying they got all my stuff but i hear in previous years people had a UW NET ID?
Were we supposed to get a UW NET ID for this year? I dont have one?

Neither do I. I would also like to know. I’ll e-mail the admissions office about it…

no, im pretty sure you dont get a uw net id. I took UW college in the highschool classes and i got a uw net id then, but i dont think you get one just for applying. Why would UW do that anyway?

^Correct.

You are ONLY given an UW ID after admittance. After submitting your application, an email of notification should be about the only thing UW will bother to send out to the many students that apply. UW is just too busy to update each student’s application status individually.

Just take a deep breath and relax after clicking that submit button. The only thing that’s left to do is patiently wait-it’s already been done. Either you’ll be accepted, wait-listed, or rejected.

Wait… if that’s true, then how do people check for their “unofficial transcripts”? I thought you needed a myUW acc to do that…?

I got myuw id before i was admitted. When the unoffical transcript loaded, that’s how i knew i got in

How does one check for the unofficial transcript?

what “unoffical trancripts” are you talking about…?

I would like to know about this as well. Anything I can do to help speed up the notification process (which will all happen in March this year).

anything new about the UW net ID?

I thought that “unofficial transcript” thing was only for transfer students, but I guess not. Either way, things were completely different last year, so the best way to figure these things out is to ask admissions.

aspire2011 - I’m a Fall 2011 transfer applicant and I’ve received nothing but a “do and don’t” email from the UW…

I just got an email asking me to set up a Net ID in my email. I submitted my application in December. I wonder if this means I am accepted. Did anyone else get that email?

Unfortunately, I don’t think getting the email asking you to set up a Net ID means you are accepted. I think all applicants get that.
