Wes VS Midd ?!

^ Oh yeah, completely agree. I felt NO PRESSURE (seriously, the kids were awesome about it) too, but I just wasn't so down with all the kids taking part. Yeah, and I had a great time too. Overall, saying 'no' to Wes (and to Berkeley for that matter) was not fun. Though my GC says that it's important to focus on the school to which you're saying 'yes,' it's almost impossible to not focus on the opportunities you're essentially losing by saying 'no' to another school. Nonetheless, I don't really think I could be much happier with the results of this process, and am quite glad it is over.

I'm sure you made a decision that was good for you :)

That said, you get a VERY warped perception of the school's drug use by visiting on 4/20 and Zonker Harris Day. I know a lot of people who smoke exactly once a year, and it's on 4/20. I promise it's not usually like that :P

Yeah, and it's unfortunate that I had to get my first and only impression about the school on 4/20. Furthermore, I had a frat host. I mean, I won't deny that I had a good time, because I probably had more fun than I'd had in a long time (of course, without anything that had to with 4/20 - it's really not my thing). But yeah, the students didn't really take notice that students ** as well ** as parents were visiting campus.

I was at Wes Fest that week and went to a great party on Sat. night. There were lots of kids there and some drank and some did not. NOBODY put any pressure on me to do anything out of my comfort zone. Everyone was having fun. I found that to be true the entire two days.

Again, I'm not negating that. I'm just saying that the prevalence of drugs bothered me, regardless of how much people pressured me to use them (which, they did not).
