Wesfest!

I'm excited ;)

Is anyone else going? I'm leaving tomorrow...missing 3 days of school, but it should definitely be worth it.

My son is going Thursday to Saturday. Very exciting. Hope the weather cooperates for you guys!

I am also attending

I'm going Friday-Saturday. Join the Facebook group if you haven't, there is a lot more conversation there.

Well... after a couple days at Wesfest my son's convinced. Hanging with the students and attending some classes made him absolutely sure Wesleyan's the right place for him. I too thought the school put on a very impressive display of culture and academics.

Froshdad, I'm so envious! My son had a good time at Wesfest but isn't sure it's the right place for him. We're so ready for him to decide already! He's going up to visit Bard later in the week and then will be out of time. Congrats to you for wrapping up the process and getting to write that check.

My D and my wife and I went to Wesfest Thurs thru Saturday. She went to a party with lots of students and pre-frosh. She stayed until 3AM and the kids not only danced and got to know one another but she was amazed when they had conversations about Philosophy and other cool things they were studying. The next morning she was totally in love with the school and knew it was for her. The campus reminded me of what NYU was like when I was there in 1969. Alot of really eclectic kids of all races and nationalities enjoying life at Wes. I haven't seen her so relaxed and thrilled with life since before the college search began a year or so ago.

Dana's Dad

So Skie: What did he decide? Time's up!

Hi ha Froshdad -- what d'you mean time's up? Aren't there 48 or so hours left???
I promise to let you know as soon as the ink is dry on the deposit check. It does look more and more as if it will be Wes, though. Thanks for asking!

The check is in the mail!!!!! Yeeeeeeeee-ha!!!!!

(to Wesleyan, that is.) We are all very happy.

Finally! Congratulations to you and your son Skie. After watching the new Wesleyan president's speech (there's a link on the Wes home page) I'm even more convinced our boys made the right decision.
