Who knew?

Only one point separates 5 teams in the men's ice hockey standings in NESCAC---the 5 teams battling for first are: Bowdoin, Colby, Weselyan, Amherst and Middlebury
It all comes down to how the teams do this weekend
Wes lost both games in Maine (Bowdoin and Colby) this past weekend

Very exciting stuff for us hockey lovers!

Yes, Wesleyan has now dropped down to #4 (tied with Middlebury) in the standings.

Well, I'm just glad they have a hockey team.

I think that's considered a three-way tie for second -- but what do I know, :p

Too bad for Wes on the Maine trip. Better luck this weekend. I've applied to just about all the schools in contention, but I'm rooting for Wesleyan.

It's probably more of a lax power, I can't remember exactly but in this 2007 preview magazine, they were ranked top 5 in the country ahead of Middlebury (the perennial NESCAC lax powerhouse).

NESCAC hockey playoffs begin next weekend
Wes is seeded #4 out of 8 behind Bowdoin, Midd, and Colby

God i hope i get in. I'll go to all the games, I promise.

Bummer of a weekend. But just wait 'til next year! Hopefully I'll be there to cheer them on, too.

It was a great game though... I mean, the game-winning Amherst goal was disputable, but it was great when some Wes students threw octopi and squid onto the ice... maybe an indirect reference to the Detroit Red Wings of the NHL? combined with a decent crowd and the constant singing of the fight song, and it was fun to watch (despite the low scoring)
