Hey all, I just got admitted to Wesleyan
However, my parents were unwilling to submit FASFA since they thought it was a waste of time
Now I've got an acceptance letter, but with the full tuition cost attached
so im wondering, are there any scholarships/financial aid packages that i can apply for at this stage without FASFA? My parents think the cost is too exorbitant and wont let me go, even though it's one of my top schools =/
ideas anyone?

I’d suggest posting this in the financial aid forum. Wes only gives need-based aid, so there are no Wes-specific scholarships to apply for, but there might be some general ones left out in the world.

i suggest filing for FAFSA NOW!
i think you can still do it
BUT
i rememebr Wes said to submit your own tax return…best bet to wall the office !!
i also remember in an email that Wes hinted that they accept LATE FILERS

why any parents would be that way? are you waitng for HYSPM whatnot and they’d let you go there is the thing?
pity pity.
I would be gladly homeless and begging if only my kid could get in.

I agree, call the financial aid office and see if you can still file for need based aid. I understand lots got very good packages. Wes gave us our worst one.

All my documents are in as of last week. Does anyone happen to know around what time I will hear about what kind of fin aid package I’ll get?
