Decisions were said to have been mailed out today, which means most of us will find out by Wednesday. In the meantime, let's all try a little something: if you applied for financial aid, when you check this page - https://cardinal.wesleyan.edu/NetPartnerStudent/logon.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fNetPartnerStudent%2fPgHome.aspx

and login do you have anything on the tabs besides "Home," "Forms," and "Your Documents?" If you can see "Your Awards" then that would be an excellent indicator that you've been accepted. I'm not sure if this will work for sure, but it was true that for WashU I was able to see my financial aid award online and theoretically this should be posted by the time you have a decision in hand.

And by the way, I do not have "Your Awards" on my tabs.

I have a "Your Awards" tab even without logging in...

haha everyone has that along with "your loans" etc. Once you login it becomes more personal and limits the tabs to what is relevant to your file.

i dont have any awards yet

I don't either. But I hear that fin aid awards don't get mailed out until a week after you get your acceptance.

I JUST GOT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am freaking out!!!! And they gave me crazy amounts of money!!!!

What part of the country are you in? Did you find out through the mail?

I'm from CT, about an hour away from Wes. I found out through mail.

congrats Jeannie. :)

anyone know how many students get off the waitlist ? or how many students get waitlisted?

they said there were approximately 400 applicants... and they were looking to fill 60 spots.

so is the transfer waitlist included in with the freshmen waitlists or would they take freshmen over transfers? Also... when do we hear back about the decisions for waitlist? bleh waitlist blows.

60 out of 400 seems kinda low compared to previous years. How many do you think they accepted?

On the website, it says they accept anywhere from 100 to 130 out of 400 applicants. Meh, I'm still waiting for my decision. I hate living in the boonies.

Me too ^ I think my decision may be even later b/c of a messup with my midterm report.

400 applicants is definitely good news. Assuming they accept approx. 120 applicants as in past years, that comes out to a 30% acceptance rate. Better than last year's 23% but not as good as 05's 40%.

accepted! no money though...:'(

Tell me what you think:

I still haven't gotten a decision yet, but I think that is due to a mixup the office had when they "misplaced" my midterm report and ended up finding it in my file on May 11th. Anyways, my financial aid status page has been complete for a month or so (all items show received or waived) but today I checked and there are four new things - they're all business tax returns for 05/06. Do you think that means I'm in?! I mean, I'm thinking it's good because the FA office wouldn't be updating my application and needing new materials unless there was a reason - as in they are preparing to send my financial aid award after I receive the letter. :D I'm excited...I know it's not enough to conclude with certainty but it is interesting nonetheless. Anyone have past experience similar to this with other schools that turned out to be good?

brand, you can call them tomorrow if you haven't received your decision yet, but the fin aid stuff looks promising :D

Good luck Brand_182 we are all rooting for you!

thx I hope it is promising...either way I'm not gonna get my hopes up too much yet or call them to rush a decision (as it may not have been made yet anyways)...I'll wait for mail.

I find that a good old nintendo game can really keep your mind off of college decisions. :)
