Bowdoin is awesome! Always scores so high in happiest students surveys!

She has already visited all of them. But she is doing some virtual accepted student events and maybe digging into details now like housing, specifics of film/tv programs, etc. Michigan had long been her #1, but the deferral might have dampened that a bit.

Thank you for saying that! He is definitely an outdoorsy person, and Bowdoin seems like such a warm and nurturing environment.
He was attracted to Wesleyan for the 4+1 masterā€™s degree in biology, and the writers dorm. Then we learned that Bowdoin is the top producer of Fullbright scholars, so it all worked out!
Thanks again!

D23 waitlisted. Really tough, as she was also waitlisted from Case Western last Saturday - those are her top 2 choices, now she has to figure out what her top choice is from where she is accepted (still waiting on Bryn Mawr next week, they might be in the running).

1530 SAT
3.99 UW
good but not unique ECā€™s, good recommendations, etc.

Considered doing ED2, but didnā€™t want to write off MIT, UChicago, CalTech (was deferred from first two, reg dec for CalTech); and we need to see the actual financials before committing.

Soā€¦it seems sheā€™ll go on the WL for both, and we wonā€™t be done with this process until well after May 1st :frowning:

Rejected but super excited about Hamilton and Colgate acceptances so itā€™s fine.
36 ACT
4.0
Rigorous boarding school
Main EC (20+ hrs a week) of dance but Wesleyan discouraged sending a video unless planning to major. And since that was the main all consuming EC that they didnā€™t care about, not surprised about the rejection.

Thank you! Our FA offer was better at Colgate. We have one day to visit both and so will be doing an official visit at Colgate. We will go see Hamilton too and I may reach out first.

S23 Waitlisted. Neuroscience/Chem, 1480 SAT 3.8u/4.1w, too tired to talk about ECs and everything else

A bit disappointed but has some other good options to work through. Congrats to all those accepted!

I would think she would have a good chance of coming off the waitlist at Case Western. Just make sure she stays engaged with them and also really lets them know itā€™s her top choice (if it is.) They really seem to care about that sort of thing, even more so than other schools. Good luck!
