Wesleyan ED1 2023 Thread

Applied ED 2 to wesleyan. Goodluck to all you guys who applied Ed 1 …I heared the notification date is today ?

Anyone hear of anyone getting asked to roll into ED2??

I think the notification date is 12/10. That’s what it looks like from last year at least.

I got deferred to ED2! I’m so happy for everyone who got in. And anyone who got deferred - I’m with you!

Accepted!!

Goodluck to you guys…i heared the notifications is today. I applied Ed 2 already and i need help to go about the financial aid process…please hmu to help out

rejected. thats ok tho i kinda expected that. happy for yall who got in!

@itlc2516 what is your work load ?..i wanna know my chances of getting in…i dint do the interview and om applying for ED 2

I got deferred to ED2. The office of admissions called me and told tell me that they really liked my profile but they need more grades. I’m kind of sad though. I wanted the process to be over.

@glitterfox19 @135chRs same dude!!! I also got deferred to ED2! but this means we still have chances! I was initially super low when they also told me they need more grades lmao
But we’re gonna cope with this!

@Jossssseph I had a 4.0 UW/4.5W GPA and took 6 AP Classes (my school doesn’t offer that much) I can explain other components of my application if you want.

I got in!! so excited for everyone!

I was also deferred to ED2, does anyone know what percentage of those deferred to ED2 end up getting in? Wesleyan is still my top choice but if being deferred means I have little to no chance, I’ll ED2 somewhere else

Does anyone know what my chances look like being waitlisted compared to chances for someone who was deferred? I was waitlisted–wasn’t sure that was even possible ED, and I’m trying to figure out next steps. Congratulations to everyone who got in!

Being deferred to ED2 is definitely better than being waitlisted. There are years (and who knows if this will be one of them?) when Wesleyan doesn’t even go to its waitlist.

Was anyone deferred to RD or just to ED2? I know of one person deferred to ED2, but wasn’t sure if you could still be deferred just to RD, which is how most schools do this.

I’m an international student and was deferred to RD (most applicants I know here also got deferred to RD instead of ED2 so I guess it’s a good thing cuz you still have a shot at ED2

@ekingNY I got waitlisted ED 1 last year and was admitted in the regular pool and am now a frosh at Wes! Not

*not promising you’re going to get in but it’s definitely not an outright rejection
