Earlier in the year, I asked two teachers for recommendations (one english one social studies) before I knew about Wesleyan’s preference that you have one rec from english/social studies and one rec from science/math. Will sending two non math/science recommendations hurt me? I am submitting a science portfolio and am in a STEM magnet program, will that make up for the lack of recommendation, in terms of showcasing myself as a well rounded student?

This was also something I was worried about since I intend to major in science and both of my recs were from non science teachers, but I was still accepted ED! You will be fine if you are well rounded overall. It’s really more important for the recs to be from two teachers who know you well as a student and can write you a good one. The one math/science and one social studies thing is just a guideline. Good luck!
