As per President Roth’s blog, the number of applications this admission cycle was 12,673, the third year in a row with >12,000 applications and slightly higher than last year. As last year’s acceptance rate (with wait-list included) was 16.1%, I’d imagine Wesleyan will be right around 16% this year. Also of note is Wesleyan being ahead of schedule on yearly fundraising, with $27 million already in the bank at the halfway point (out of an annual goal of $35 million). Wesleyan had one of the largest endowment increases in the country this past fiscal year, and the strong fundraising should continue that momentum. Go Wes!
