Hey, so right now i am really looking into Wesleyan UNiversity and have scheduled an interview for the 13th. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what there admission team is looking for specifically? Also, my SAT scores are alright i guess, 2130 with a 680 cr, 700 Math and 750 Verbal. I have all As, but no GPA because my school doesn't do GPAs, and a 4 on the APUS. Plus i will have taken 6 APs after senior year. Some Extra Curriculars include: varsity indoor and outdoor track captain (soph, jr, senior), 1st seat brass trombone in wind ensemble, President of diversity committee, 2 internships (1 political and 1 nonprofit) and alot more...including community service. But the big thing is track. I have talked ALOT with the coach and he seems to really want to recruit me...SO is the rumor true that Wesleyan recruits very heavily for a D3 school? and what chances do i have of admittance? Thanks!

I think you will have a real good chance.
My friends dd who played volley ball and got in with lower stats, so should you. Do not expect much FA, however.

Your stats look good for a recruited athlete, I think, but keep in mind it is a piece of the whole process at Wes. And the SAT scores accepted vary by team. Ask the coach if he will support you, and ask for a pre read at admissions. Has the coach asked you to come for a visit yet?? I think with the coaches interest, you have a great chance.

I disagree with artlover on the financial aid part. WES has no athletic scholarships, and all aid is need based. That said, WES was great on financial aid and only had a small loan part. The financial aid would be the same as at any NEscac school. But some schools use loans for a bigger piece of the aid, some (Colby) are no loan schools. WES does meet full need.

sorry I meant merit scholarship.
