Hello! I was accepted as a transfer applicant for the fall of 2017. I am seriously considering going to Wesleyan but have a few questions/concerns and would be so appreciative for feedback of any of these points.
Social life: Is student life at Wesleyan vibrant and active despite being a small school? How well attended are campus events and is the night life at Wesleyan fun/open?
People: Girl to boy ratio; I have heard that there are very few straight guys at Wesleyan- do people find this valid? What is the dating scene at Wesleyan like?
Is making friends easy at Wesleyan? I would be transferring as a junior and Wes only takes 60 transfers each fall meaning there wouldn’t be an extensive transfer community. Also, Wesleyan is significantly more expensive than my current school so if I transfer would have to commute (I live ~15 mins away from Wes) I feel like all of these factors may make it difficult to establish a good group of friends. Can any one speak to the openness/ inclusivity at Wesleyan. Is it the kind of place with approachable people? Is the student body generally friendly?
Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to provide an answer to one or more of these questions. I have to decide by next week so any input is greatly valued and appreciated!
