Wesleyan vs Cornell

I recently got accepted as transfer student into both Wesleyan and Cornell. I plan on studying sociology and philosophy. I have absolutely which school I’m leaning towards more, even though they’re both so different. Would urgent students be able to tell me about how happy they are in their programs, with the atmosphere, social scene… Really any information about your experience would be helpful. Thanks!

Ik this is not the answer to what you asked, but I’m also considering transferring to cornell. May I ask what your grades are in cc?

One is a small liberal arts school, and one is a mid-size Ivy research university. Both are highly selective and both are in smallish towns.

As a liberal arts major, you might find more people that share your viewpoints at Wesleyan. Most people at Cornell didn’t go to a liberal arts school for a reason.

I have no idea about sociology/phil, but generally a Cornell degree would be a little more valued. Both are still very good schools.

From what I hear, the drug scene at Wesleyan is pretty bad. However if you stay out of it you should be fine.

MrNoMercy24 I’m not in community college, but my current gap is 3.85
