west campus apartments

what are the west campus apartments like? or what have you heard about them?
are there RA's, are people sociable, is it too loud, ect

im trying to decide on sophomore housing, thanks for the help.

Well lemme just clarify they are dorms not apartments. They are absolutely amazing and brand new. And there are graduate students who take the RA role…and they are really laid back n good. The whole sociable and loud thing depends on whoever ends up on ur floor to tell u the truth.

With the completion of two more dorms on west campus, you should be able to get into one of the 5 “houses”, which are the new dorms and are all extremely nice. The doubles are huge in the suites and there are a lot of singles too. There are still RA’s, but since you’re an upperclassman there won’t be as much regulation. By this time most people already have friends so people won’t be as willing to talk as during freshman year. But most people are cornell are nice anyways, so you shouldn’t have trouble extending your social network if you want to. The food on west campus I think is better than the stuff on North although there’s less choice and it tends to get old after a while.

There are also apartments on west campus like ravenwood and gun hill and a few others I think. These are generally a little further from campus and are exactly like any apartment you would expect.

whats the quietest dorm/least socialable on west?

There ARE some apartments on west campus.. ravenwood, campus hill, etc. DON’T live there if you can help it though!!

why do you say “DON’T” live there?
