I know everyone will have a different opinion of what's "the best," but I was just curious as to what everyone's experiences were with the different options. At my school this year I had sort of an "apartment" style dorm, so I was thinking of requesting one of the townhouses. But at the same time, I don't want to be segregated from the rest of the transfers or too far from campus. I also loved having 3 roommates instead of one...

Thoughts?

the townhouses arent a bad option at all…

but even if you request a single/double chances are you will be put up with other transfers…some of these single/double rooms will be in a suite where you will technically have 6 roomates lol!

Is there an option to specifically request a townhouse? Or does it just say “quad?”

Trust me, you don’t want to be in the townhouses. Search around and you’ll dig up a ton of similar advice.

for some the idea of having a kitchen and what not would be appealing…great room for townhouse partying…

i think transfers should consider them…but by no means should anyone prefer them over anywhere else…

Diehldun…can you be more specific? I did a search and honestly, I don’t see too much that is negative about them

the only negative might be if you’re a freshman…but all freshman cant live in dickson and donlon…

the low/high rises are about as social as the townhouses

I wouldn’t recommend townhouses as a transfer… they’re a bit far off. SA just voted to bring back the Transfer Center, so that’s big news!
