West Campus

My roommate and I want to live on west campus next year (will be sophomores) and we have a few questions.

Which of the 5 houses is the best?
We want to live in a suite, but how many other people do we need to find to be in our suite? How many singles/doubles are in each suite??
What are the chances that we, as sophomores, will be able to get into the building that we want.

Thank you!

The five newest houses are Becker, Keeton, Flora Rose, Bethe, and Alice Cook. Some may favor one over the other, but they essentially offer the same perks.

Suites consist of three singles and one double. When you’re ready to select rooms online, you don’t need to fill up an entire suite (and you can also select rooms in suites that are only partially filled).

Chances of getting the building/types of rooms you want will depend on your timeslot. Rooms in the aforementioned buildings will go first, and suites are generally filled within the first hour. However, things will be different for you guys because sophomores go first, so you’ll probably have a better shot than any of us did last year.

Sorry to jump in on this thread. I am also interested in living on West next year. Do you know when the housing application begins?

thanks countryangel!

you will not miss housing application…they will send more emails than you want to receive. I think it’s usually sometime in early March.
