<p>My son is attending this Fall and I'm eager to talk to other parents of accepted students about this college. We are from out of state so any information from in-state parents (and OOS too, of course!) would be helpful. </p>

<p>My daughter will be an incoming freshman as well…it’s a great school; good reputation and competitive with other universities in the state. I think you made a good choice. I live in the area and many of the students from my daughter’s high school attend WCU…that’s my only problem actually. She already knows tons of students and she may be distracted because so many of her classmates are there. You can find out more information about the school on Princeton Review…you’ll have to register.</p>

<p>It’s been a busy spring! We just visited WCU yesterday for Part I of Freshman Orientation. My son loved it! All of the staff there, from students to faculty to admins and even security was so helpful and friendly! We really feel good about this school. Definitely excited to be sending him off but mixed feelings, too 
Orientation was extremely comprehensive - we had no idea of the services and support the University offers to students. I consider this place a “best kept secret”… After hearing the Head of Security speak about measures they take to protect students and keep them safe, I feel like S will be in good hands. Was anyone else there yesterday (6/23)?</p>

<p>I looked on the WCU parents page to see if they have a facebook link for parents but they don’t. I know a few kids from my kids HS that have attended or will be going there this fall. I looked at it with my youngest last fall but the open house and subsequent talk with the head of the CS department took it off his list. However, I love West Chester (we lived very close to it for 10 years) and I would still recommend it to other people.</p>

That’s a great idea - but I can’t figure out how to contact Administration on this thing to make that request!</p>
