Hey everyone.. I dont know to much about the selectivity of these west coast schools... and I need some help

H. I am really interested in some small to medium sized private schools on the west coast.... I am by no means a whiz kid with perfect grades.... but I was just wondering if you could give me my chances on these schools based on my stats

3.8 gpa
Private High School
4 seasons of varsity sports
1950 SATs
ovr 200 hrs of service
Best Buddies Org.
Key Club
National Honors Society
Softball Coach

Okay so I am really interested In Order
1. University of San Diego
2. Loyola Marymount University
3. Pepperdine University
4. University of San Francisco
5. Santa Clara University

Are you a male or a female, and could you break down the SAT to give us verbal and math scores? Is your high school a Jesuit or other Catholic school? Thanks.

I think you have a really good chance at all of those schools. Although I never trust Pepperdine. But besides USF, I got into all of them with less ECs and slightly lower GPA. Although is the GPA weighted? It'd help if you were in some honor classes.

Umm.. its a Jesuit school
650's in all of them...lolz.... but that was just my first time taking it..... I'm only a Junior....
Um.... weighted my gpa is closer to a 4...
By graduation I will have taken 5 aps and 6 honors....

I really only care about USD....cuz if I get in there...then thats where I'm goin....but Im just worried about it

I think you look quite good for the two schools I know a bit about (SCU and USanDiego). Your SATs are above the 25-75% range for San Diego. What makes you worry about it, anything in particular? I'm not familiar with Pepperdine, but I think all of the schools you listed could be match/safe-ish matches for you. If you are male, that only helps; as both USD and SCU are female-heavy and have been looking for males, I believe.

wow thats great to know!
I dont know... my main ecs are sports....... I dont have any other time for anything else... and I was looking over usd s application and I couldnt fill in anything for the leadershipe...except captain of vball team......... I dont know.. i jus tgot a little scared when i read through the app

If these schools accept the common app, be sure to check each of the app forms (common (plus school supplement if required) vs. school's own app). Use the app which shows you off better.

chillin - do you know how to look up the acceptance rates and SAT profiles for each school? You can do it on collegeboard.com or USN&WR premium online edition (this one is not free). That will help you get a feel for likelihood of acceptance at various schools.
