I am wondering about west coast schools, other than Reed College or the California ones. I am not dismissing the California ones, it is just that I only know about the California ones and would like to hear about others.

Thanks!

Some specifics would help in answering your questions. Which schools have you heard about? What type of school (size, public v private, etc)? What have you heard about them? What do you want to know about them? What are you interested in? etc

There are hundreds. With that limited requirement, any of several school finders would probably be a good start, and then the CC community can give you information about specific schools. Princeton review, this site, and College Board all have college finders.

Sorry, I figured I should put down more specifics. So far, I have loved schools like Austin College and Rice University and Carleton College. I have really disliked schools like UNT and UT Dallas. So I guess I really like the smaller school, but one that is more competitive. And I would like some artistic flair to the school. I love the historical feel to things. I really think I will love Swarthmore when I see it. I just don’t think I could get in to Swarthmore.

I am planning to see Harvey Mudd and Pomona this summer, as well as a few others. But I feel like I know of nothing to consider in, basically, the Northwest.

I am open to public, it is just as an out-of-state school, financially, I might not be able to get the financial aid I need at a public school.

Whitman is a competitive and reputable LAC in Washington State.
