West Point Chances?

I am currently a Junior in High school and am curious if I stand a good chance for admission into West Point (USMA).
Should graduate with a 4.75 GPA (weighted) 3.968 (unweighted)
AP European History Sophomore year
AP Calculus AB and BC, AP US History, AP English Language/ Composition, in Junior year
AP Government, AP Stats, AP Human Geography, AP English Literature/ Composition, AP Chemistry in Senior year
Member of the year in Mu Alpha Theta (National Mathematics Honors Society) Sophomore year
President of Mu Alpha Theta Junior and Senior year
Member of NHS Junior and Senior year
Member of Key Club (Community Service Club) Senior year
All A's since freshman year
All 5's (hopefully, maybe one or two 4's) on AP Exams
JV Wrestling in Junior year
Varsity Wrestling in Senior year
2090 composite SAT score (retaking in a week), 720 in Math, 700 in Writing, 670 in Verbal
(Should raise all my scores, I was sleep deprived the first time around)
Attending SLS in June
Attending Virginia's Governor's School for Mathematics, Science, and Technology (Only one in my school to make it this year)
Should graduate in top 10 people in my class out of 518 (top 1.93%)
5:25 mile, 22 pullups, unknown pushups and situps as well as basketball throw (should be pretty high)
100+ hours community service (mainly tutoring in mathematics for Mu Alpha Theta)
Applying for Boys State (Mock Government program in VA (only one boy in my school will attend))
I want to major in Physics and hopefully go for a double major in Mathematical Sciences due to number of courses I can potentially validate if accepted.
I've looked through just about everything I could find on West Point, watched countless videos, read copious numbers of posts and threads and comments, scoured USMA's web site, and have been preparing myself for over a year for it.

I come from a military family first of all, and I've been endowed with a strong sense of loyalty and commitment for my country, and I would be extremely honored to join in our military and help in any way I can. Im motivated and do have leadership potential, although it doesn't shine through on paper. I'm the one on the wrestling team who got done first and made sure I stayed to motivate everyone else on the team, doing extra laps and more reps beside someone who had less motivation. I spend the majority of my free time helping friends with some class or another, very little of it for any compensation whatsoever. I recently started "teaching" my chemistry class as we have a permanent sub who knows nothing on the subject. I learn the lessons on my own a week early and spend the majority of the class teaching the class at the board. Almost all of my teachers have pointed me out as an exemplary student and use my works and actions as models for others.

Basically, West Point is the pinnacle of everything I want in and from my life.
How good are my chances of acceptance into West Point?

Wow. Clearly you’ve been busy. Your GPA is high weighted and unweighted. Mine was never that high, because I was in the 3.5 range unweighted. I get about 1 or 2 b’s and rest a’s each semester. I also took AP Euro, AP English III and AP US Hist. And scored 3, 3, 2, respectively. ( I dont know what happen on the AP US Hist. one…) Unfortunately, I don’t entirely know if your AP scores count since I think they already select your classes for your Plebe year. I read somewhere they might count it only if you got a 5 (which I must say was very impressive).

All of those AP classes will definitely help, regardless. Membership in clubs like Mu Alpha Theta and NHS is looked highly upon so continue to stay involved.

Your SAT scores are excellent. I neeever scored that high and I took it 4 times. The highest I got was a 1720ish (ACT highest 25). I received an appointment to the Prep School a week ago because my Standardized Test Scores weren’t high enough. I really disliked SAT and ACT testing because I was never good at it.

SLS, very good. I went last year and loved it. I never had so much fun getting to know the campus, cadre, and most of all, meeting new people. I bet you will enjoy it.

Sports are very important to the Academy so keep that up and you seem physcially fit so that shouldnt be a problem. Have you taken your CFA (Candidate Fitness Assessment) yet? Otherwise, you take it (again) at SLS.

What really helped me was my leadership as Swimming team captain 2 years and Eagle scout.

Be sure to mention your wrestling bit and teaching chemisry in the Essays for your online file (have you one? if not they tell you about it at SLS). Whats your status on nomination? you can get one through your father (im assuming has been in over about 6 years because then you can get a presidential nomination).

Overall, I would have to say your file seems very strong and chances are very favorable. 60% academic (30% GPA and 30% Test scores) 30% leadership and 10% physically fit.

Good luck!

I opened an admissions file as soon as I was able to, a few months ago. I tried to multiple times in a vain hope they would let me start. I’ve started on my nomination, but due to alot of homework recently, haven’t had a chance to finish it. Im really eager to get everything in as early as possible so I know I’ll be in the first wave. Only thing that worries me is the fact that there is a rather large IB program in my district. Hopefully, since I’ve elected to take the most challenging course load humanly possible the admission officers will look favorably on that.
I do want to validate as many courses as possible (Plebe eng, multiple maths, chemistry, history and third year physical geography) so that I can get a double major.
And congrats on getting into the Prep School!

you can surely double major regardless how many classes you validate.
Your file looks pretty strong. Please keep up with your admissions process and best of luck to you.
Make sure to find out West Point is the place that you want to belong during SLS. I really hate to see people quitting during CBT…
