West Point Lingo

<p>What do you guys think of about a little reference point here for those who don't quite understand the lingo. I've got some, but since I haven't gone to the Academy, I won't have all of it. I'll start and you guys add on please.</p>

<p>USMA- United States Military Academy at West Point
Hudson High- just another nickname
DMI- Department of Military Instruction
Firsties- seniors
Cows- juniors
Yearlings- sophomores
Plebes- freshmen
New Cadet- person after Reception Day and before Acceptance Day
Cadet- a student at West Point
being found- failing an honor code hearing
separation- expulsion
The Plain- field where parades are held
Cadet Leader Development System- the four year program
on profile- being hurt
turned back- having to repeat a year
BDU- Battle Dress Uniform
ACU- Army Combat Uniform (new)
ruck- your military backpack
R-Day--- Reception Day; First day at the Academy where the Candidates become New Cadets
A-Day--- Acception Day; New Cadets become Cadets
APFT- Army Physical Fitness Test; completed bianually I believe?
CFA- Candidate Fitness Assessment
DODMEB- Department of Defense Medical Exam Board</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure all of those are right. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong please. And please add on so we can help each other out.</p>
