from USMA's Public Affairs Office:

Barring any major breaking news, CBS-TV 60 Minutes is scheduled to air a
segment on the Class of 2005 this Sunday, May 8, at 7 p.m. EST. It should
be the second story to run and should be about 12 and a half minutes
long.

The segment will focus on how West Point has changed and how cadets (Class of 2005) prepare to meet the challenges of today's Operation Enduring
Freedom and Operation Iraq Freedom world environment. Included will be
interviews with the Dean and senior cadets and footage of several classes,
technology, Sandhurst military skills competition, etc. It will also
include interviews with 1LT Andy Blickhahn (former Cadet First Captain now
serving in Iraq) and Dr Leonard Wong from the U.S. Army War College on
adaptable leaders.

MomofTwins:

Thanks for the alert on the show. My son will be doing his overnight on Sunday - I wonder whether the cadets will be watching the show.

I would bet on it!

More importantly, I hope the overnight visit helps him with his decision. I would assume that so close to finals, it may be a pretty stressful time for many of the cadets. Please keep all of us posted.

In case any of you guys missed it (like I did), it is available to watch on the web at the same address that momoftwins posted.

Did anyone watch it? I had a friend tape it for me as we do not get TV reception. Nor can I watch it online---slooooooow dialup. How was it?

It was informative - a realistic perspective on life after west point
