West Virginia or Winthrop?

Does anyone have any personal experience with either of these schools? Would appreciate any info.

They are total opposites except for the fact that they are both state universities.
All I now about WVU is fr. the internet and tv but it appears that…
WVU is huge, in a nice town, big sports scene, prob. a more diverse student population and cold weather.
Winthrop is small by state u. standards, not a big sports scene (no football), mostly kids fr. S.C., nothing special about Rock Hill, SC but it is the winner in the nice weather category and is very close to Charlotte NC for big city stuff.
Neighbor’s D went to Winthrop, enjoyed her time there and was accepted to several grad. schools upon graduation.
So it all depends on what you’re looking for…smaller school in a warm climate without a big sports/party scene or big state u. with all that brings with it plus cold weather.
