I did not get to visit, but my son did apply and we were very impressed with what we learned about the school. If you can look beyond the northeast, it is an excellent school with great academics and athletics.

I almost went there. I visited the school more than once, and I say the campus and the town of Hudson right down the street are both stunning. Some of the facilities are a little dated, but the school has a rich charm to it. I also believe uniforms are required at the school, which is one of the reasons why I decided not to go, but it was a very close decision indeed. According to Boarding School Review (http://www.boardingschoolreview.com/school_ov/school_id/33), WRA is a medium sized boarding school with an above average endowment. There are Saturday classes, so some students may be turned off by this. However, there appears to be a significant day school population (35%) which is a little large to have the quintessential boarding school experience, although I'm sure they do a good job with it.

As I recall those many years ago, the admissions staff were very friendly, and were very familiar with the situations of students coming from Eastern Ohio, Western Pennsylvania (the school is very popular in Pittsburgh), and West Virginia. The admissions officer knew exactly what school I came from in Pittsburgh, and even knew some of my teachers by name. They are very thorough with their applicants, which is always a good sign.

thank you all so much!
and i would be a day student there so the 35% wouldnt really bother me.
anything else?

This is a military school right!!!!??????

Wrong- it is not.

i just got a full merit scholarship to western reserve!

but...i also got into Lawrenceville which I love! Should i turn down my scholarship to WRA and go to Lawrenceville???
