westinghouse

hey everyone, just wondering, since the westinghouse report is due next monday at 5 PM, when should I mail? I still have a lot of stuff to do.. (finish methods, abstract, etc. so I need as much time as possible) thanks.

I am pondering even entering the competition, as I am from New Jersey and unlike most other projects I don't build any kind of machine with the help of professors and universities. I am pondering it as I hae the SAT in october, college apps, and the fact that New Jersey, which has one of the best educational systems in the US, has only sent only two semifinalists (one was semi, one was semi who one the national) in the past 5 years.

wow... i finished everything saturday night, and edited the paper. I'm getting my profs and dept heads to edit it and then overnight fedex on thursday.

...

On the other hand, my school is probably the hardest competition I will face, as we have tons of finalists, and won 1st place team nationals last year(* goes and sucks thumb in corner as he contemplates facing those uber-smart seniors(he's a junior)).

When did you start the projects? When is the best time to start a project, junior year?

this is seperate from Intel right?

Yes.
I just started typing my project
It's hard cuz I have to learn LaTex in like a day

corinao, that's comforting- i'm not the only one who isn't done! :) Luckily my project doesn't have any (or barely any) numbers/symbols/formulas/etc, so I don't need LaTex. i still need to finish my discussion... and my mentor has to edit it all.. i promised her i wouldn't wait til the last minute, and I did :p would anyone (RSIers, NASA Sharpers, science buffs) be willing to look over my paper and give some input on it?
