<p>I was waiting for someone to start a thread about Westphal! My son applied on October 26th for the film and video program but has yet to hear. He did not apply ED. Westphal has a RD application deadline of February 1st, so I don’t expect him to hear anything until after that.</p>
<p>I was accepted to Westphal’s Graphic Design program on December 15th with ED.
I received the Dean’s Scholarship and others as well. Overall, financial aid and scholarships cover about half of all expenses.
SATs: 1830
GPA: 94.25 (Don’t know 4.0 scale, sorry)
Strong strength of schedule with a submitted portfolio.</p>

<p>bruceb28 - my son also applied RD for film in October. We don’t expect to hear anything too soon, but I wonder if they have rolling admission for Film like they do for other majors? Waiting is so hard!</p>
<p>I too was waiting for Westphal applicants. My daughter applied mid October (not ED) for Animation and Visual Effects. We are waiting with the rest of you. Any thoughts on if my daughter will receive a scholarship? How long do you think it will be before we hear something?</p>

<p>I applied RD end of October for the BS in Film. I heard from Drexel that my decision will come middle of february. Hope the $ I get will make it possible for me to go.</p>

Extra Currics: Focus on film editing specifically, certified in Avid, Final Cut, ect, Worked on a film called My Suicide, now known as Archie’s final project I think, which had David Carradine in it. Worked on a web show shown on Seventeen.com, did freelance for a few employees of George Lucas’s company, plus school things like FBLA, theater, History Club. Also have worked at a public library for 5 years.</p>
<p>Hi, my son applied to Westphal, music industry on October 11th (Early Dec.) and received acceptance into Westphal and Pennoni Honors on Dec 15th.</p>
<p>Stats: GPA 4.2 weighted
SAT: 2200</p>
<p>He received the dean’s scholarship: $17,000</p>

<p>Just thought I’d update so everyone has a clear idea of whose getting what when. See stats above. I got accepted today for the BS in Film and Video, and got the AJ Drexel Scholarship for $30,000</p>
<p>My son was accepted today to Westphal for the Game Art and Production program. He is thrilled. Drexel was his first choice without a doubt. His VIP application was marked as complete on the Drexel portal in early November, He was also acceped into Pennoni Hoors College and awarded an AJ Drexel scholarship of $33,500. His unweighted GPA is 3.84; weighted GPA is 4.55; his SAT was1440/1600 & 2090/2400. US Govt & Polotics AP = 5, BC Calc = 4; enrolled for the last 2 years in the full IB diploma program. He has taken art classes in the summer at the Corcoran Museum of Art, D.C.</p>
<p>My daughter was accepted today for Westphal’s BS Animation & Visual Effects program. SAT 1260/1860, gpa 4.03 weighted, class rank 23/537, ACT 27. AJ scholarship of $23,000/yr. WHOOHOO!!!</p>
<p>My son was accepted today for Westphal’s BS in Film. SAT 1290/1990, school doesn’t rank, gpa approx. 3.6. Dean’s scholarship of $14,500/yr.</p>
<p>Son accepted for BS Film. SAT: 1370. GPA approximately 99/100. Class rank 2/130.
Scholarship $33,500.
Also accepted into the Honors College.
Did anyone look at the 2012-2013 costs? We are looking at $58 - 59,000! Waiting to here from 1 more school, and then will have to do some serious number crunching!

<p>D was wait-listed today for Westphal Fashion Design. She has a 3.8 GPA ACT 21 (no ADHD accommodations so did poorly). She is actually starting another college in two weeks. Good luck all!</p>
<p>Has anyone been accepted into music industry yet this year or heard what the class size will be?? my S has this in his top 3 and applied VIP app back in mid Nov. I’m assuming people may start hearing after regular decision closes for Feb 1. Anyone have any other info??</p>
<p>I applied around Dec. 12th for Undergraduate Architecture. Received the Admissions decision e-mail 30 minutes ago. Accepted, and received the AJ Drexel Scholarship, for $24,000. </p>
