<p>How safe is Westwood to walk around alone as a female? During the day and at night? Yeah, I know you're always suppose to go in groups and all that jazz, particularly at night, but I'm still curious. </p>

<p>Nothing's 100% safe but it's pretty safe. If you're a girl (or even a guy) walking alone at night, just be aware of your surroundings. That means if you're drunk, don't walk alone, and otherwise don't listen to your Ipod or talk distractedly on the cell phone.</p>
<p>Pretty safe --- have never had much trouble. People in WW are harmless - some townie homeless ppl are annoying but thats abt it</p>

<p>Don't forget Westwood is like right next to Bel-Air and Beverly Hills...</p>
<p>Westwood during the day is fine for anyone by themselves. Even night isn't that bad (and I am pretty damn paranoid of everything). But just cause Westwood is pretty safe doesn't mean all of LA is. You don't want to find yourself alone in Hollywood on Sunset at 1 in the morning if you know what I'm saying. Even in a group the neighborhood is sketch.</p>
<p>Could be worse though. One of the Indian dance teams got mugged (in a huge group that had guys) when they were in like Oakland for a dance competition. Scary.</p>

<p>Wilshire all the way from Crenshaw back to campus is safe...i can vouch for that because i was walking along those streets at night with a friend of mine once</p>
