Wet Shower Shoes?

Maybe I’m just being an idiot, but what am I supposed to do with my wet shower shoes after showering? Do I dry them off with a towel or do I just track water into the hallways and my dorm?

I just make sure there aren’t any suds and just wear them back to my dorm. At least in my hall has carpet and no one really cares if it’s damp for a few minutes.

^^ Yeah, we have carpeted floors too so it’s not a huge deal. If that’s not the case for you then I don’t know what to say though.

Track water into your hallways. If it rains, the overwhelming majority of students do not take off their shoes upon entering a residence hall. I don’t see why wet flip flops would be any different.

You know, flip flops are great shower shoes, right? Don’t need to buy something special. All those years ago, shower shoes were on my suggested list and no one wore them.

Anyway, whatever you have, look at them when wet- what’s it amount to? A teaspoon of water? Not to worry. And they’ll probably be dry by the time you hit your room.

okay, sorry to bring up an old thread, I am a mom with no dorm life experience.

So, are these the same flip flops you wear around the campus too? Or, ‘reserved’ pair for shower (to and from dorm room) purpose? Excuse my ignorance- i have a son going to college in fall…

Yep, just a cheap (~ $5) pair of flip flops from Target or Walmart reserved for showering. Toss and replace as needed.

Thanks, so just one pair of cheap all purpose flip flops

I have a pair of croc flip flops that I would never wear in public anyways.

It’s just about having a barrier between the feet and the shower/bathroom floor. My D has ones from BB&B that have holes in them to drain. Just be careful when walking on tiled or non-carpeted surfaces - those flip flops can get slippery!
