Is there any disadvantage to applying to WFU and not submitting test scores?
If you read some posts on this site, there are comments that people have applied without submitting test scores and were admitted. You have to do some research and look at your test scores, grades, class rank and decide what puts you in the best light. Here is a link to Wakes admissions blog for some info on the 2020 class: http://fromtheforest.admissions.wfu.edu/2016/03/bringing-into-focus-our-class-of-2020-applicant-pool/ . Note the class rank. It appears for a good shot to get in you should be in the top 5% of your class and at a minimum you should be in the top 10% of your class. Also remember to interview with Wake’s admissions office. Wake takes the interview very seriously. Good luck and go Deacs!
Thanks so much! i have a 3.9 GPA, my class rank is 4…what I’m really considered about is, is it likely that I’ll get less financial aid/scholarships if I do not submit my test scores?

I spoke with a WF professor who referred me to this above link. He assured me that you are not penalized for not submitting test scores and the general consensus of the admissions department is that your GPA and other factors are a much better indicator of how you will perform in college. This professors advice to me was not to submit ACT scores unless they were 32 or over. We did not submit and my daughter has been accepted early decision.
Thank you so much! That was extremely helpful.
