I think you’ll make a good impression on the admission officers.Your scores and GPA are good. You might want to consider your essay as the sole thing needed to really ace your application.

Wow you must live really close to me, my dad works at U of R. As a NYS applicant have your looked at the contract colleges?

I’d say if you were ED to one of the contract colleges, you’d have an excellent chance. CAS is the toughest admit so past history of your school getting top 10 students into colleges such as Cornell will be important.

What are you saying CAS is the toughest admit? Do you know anything about Cornell? Everyone here knows that architecture is crazy hard to get into, followed by engineering.

Don’t look at the % acceptance rate. Many pools, particularly architecture, are self-selective.

Dr. Craxton

ParadiseCity- Yeah I’m applying to CALS for AEM for my alternate option

…Should have said “one of toughest admits”. I knew the OP wasn’t applying to architecture, so I didn’t count them. Yes COE has higher average math scores that CAS, with CAS having the lower acceptance rate. Some specific majors such as Dyson within CALS are comparable, with admit rates below 10%.

Anybody else?
