Wharton/CAS

Is Wharton much more difficult to get into than the College Of Arts and Sciences?

I got into CAS with a 2100 SAT score…and was just wondering since so many qualified applicants have been rejected this year!

Also…is Brown a better choice than UPenn CAS?

2100 is a solid score, and there is more to life than SAT scores.

Penn and Brown are very different.

"Is Wharton much more difficult to get into than the College Of Arts and Sciences?"

More difficult? Yes. Much more difficult? No.

Wharton is looking for a different type of student--not necessarily significantly better SATs (just look at W admits on this board), but ones with some special leadership qualities.

The depressed acceptance rate at Wharton is more due to its desirability and small class size more than a huge difference in selectivity from CAS.

I'd pick Penn over Brown. But the two are very very different. I think Penn offers you more, but is more 'sink-or-swim'
