If I wanted to do a dual degree with CAS (maybe math... I have not idea... this is hypothetical), would I just have to satisfy the 12 requirements? Or would I also have to satisfy the general requirements? In general, how many extra courses outside of th major would this involve? Thanks!

You have to do all of the CAS requirements as a dual degree. Your free electives, though, can all come from Wharton.

no offense intended, but you don’t dabble in math as a second major at any top school. University-level mathematics is on a completely different plane from anything at Wharton. Upper undergraduate requirements in real analysis and algebra are more difficult than any PhD class in the Wharton school. So unless one is a top student (capable of reaching state or regional-level finals in math competitions), the major may lie beyond reach.

Also, as a practical concern, banking recruitment is solely a function of GPA, rarely adjusted for difficulty of curriculum. A 3.7 finance concentration is likely to trump a 3.5 math major even though it is much, much harder to achieve that level of success in math.
