Is Wharton grading hard? Or is there grade inflation like at other top ivies?

there's a harsh curve in most classes

more specifically, about 25% -30% will end up with an A in most "core" wharton classes. about 30% - 40% will end up with a C. you should not expect to get easy As, but getting As is by no means difficult as long as you work hard.

oh that's not that bad

with the curve though if you score the mean you get a B-. that doesn't sound so bad but B=2.7 which is quite low. it'll wreck your GPA if you're looking for the best jobs (you should probably aim for 3.6 or 3.7 at the least for that). you'll need almost straight A's in your other classes that semester to recover.

that said, the people who do the reading, go to class, do the problem sets, and all the practice finals usually do fine.
