Is getting admitted to Wharton easier when doing a dual degree, specifically between Wharton and Engineering? And how does the process work on the app?

Yes, it is easier

but it's still not easy

right?

The cut-off changes every year, I believe it is around 3.5 first year GPA that is required in order to transfer, in addition to meeting pre-reqs.

Im not talking about transferriing vaib, Im just talking about applying for a dual degree undergrad between engineering and wharton. Is it easier to do it, easier to get accepted I mean?

You only apply for a dual degree AFTER you are accepted. It has nothing to do with your chances of being accepted.

It is much easier doing a dual-degree when you're already in Wharton. To do a dual with Engineering, you generally to meet the minimum 3.4 in order to apply. To dual with College, which alot of students do, you need a mere 3.0.

From engineering or the college to Wharton, however, is much difficult because so many people want to do it. The GPA cut-off is usually around 3.7 (3.65 last year)

Plus, note that a 3.7 in college is much more difficult than a 3.7 in high school! Many give up transferring to Wharton after first semester grades of low 3/high 2's

the only interschool engineering+wharton program that you can apply to directly from high school is the M&T program, and that's generally not easier than straight wharton. but there's no harm in trying, you can apply to the program and just choose to be deferred into wharton if you get rejected from the program - the only cost is an extra essay on your interest in management and technology.
